Position Summary: Strategically maximize the buyer/exhibitor experience through creative and leading-edge conceptualization, design and implementation of all visual merchandising for Dallas Market Center.

 

Position Description (Italics reflect performance appraisal criteria):

·         Conceptualizes with Creative Director and designs and executes market time and open-daily displays from inception through completion to achieve designated objectives (showcase trends, traffic generation, revenue generation, etc.)

·         Partners effectively with internal departments, exhibitors and outside vendors to orchestrate all displays including look of temporary floors, visual props, graphics, signage and oversees all aspects of installation and dismantling including supervisory responsibility of freelance visual staff  

·         Creates relevant trend information—effectively partners with internal teams (leasing, marketing, operations, construction) to communicate and integrate this information

·         Pulls product from showrooms and creates sets to create Market displays as well as for photoshoots for in-house publications

·         Interfaces with Design & Construction and Setup team on Market displays

·         Nurtures and maintains positive relationships with existing and prospective exhibitors; professionally represents DMC as a knowledgeable and courteous resource

·         Creatively maximizes available budgetary resources; participates in management and maintenance of budget and works effectively within budget constraints

·         Other related duties as assigned

Required Education:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Required Experience:

·         5-7 years of similar work - visual conception and merchandising experience

·         Able to work with minimal supervision and self-motivated

·         Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

·         Strong fashion and styling sense

·         Must be able to accept critique / feedback

·         Ability to prioritize and multi-task

·         Strong time management skills

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
