DALLAS – August 10, 2016 – Dallas Market Center, the marketplace for leading fashion resources, has announced dates for its Apparel & Accessories Markets through 2019. The multi-year calendar is being offered to retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives in order to strategically plan for the next three years.
The only change from the previously announced dates is a shift to June 14-17, 2017 in order to accommodate a one-time shift by shows taking place in Los Angeles. Dallas Market Center continues to expand its contemporary resources and has worked with show management in Los Angeles to ensure that west coast resources are available in Dallas for June 2017.
“Taking into account national and state holidays, busy retail calendars, existing tradeshow schedules, hotel availability and manufacturing deadlines we have made every effort to work with all communities to select the best dates possible,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “The most important planning tool we offer buyers and sellers are advantageous dates, and by announcing multiple years we can provide our customers with the information they need to plan for the future.”

Dallas Apparel & Accessories Markets will continue to take place in a Wednesday through Saturday date pattern with Tuesday serving as a “Pre-Market” day for many permanent showrooms open for business. Markets in Dallas attract thousands of loyal retailers from all 50 states and more than 24 countries. In fact, according to attendee surveys more than 70% of Dallas buyers do not attend other shows.
“Dallas Market Center will continue to showcase the largest collection of permanent and temporary exhibitors in apparel and accessories including significant growth in contemporary resources,” said Eva Walsh, executive vice president of leasing and marketing. “As manufacturers seek more new customers from across the middle of the U.S. we have a dynamic marketplace extremely well positioned for the next three years.”
Dallas remains the marketplace located in the strongest economic region in the country. More than 500,000 new residents have moved to Texas in the past 18 months attracted by a lower cost of living, explosive job growth, and attractive business conditions. Dallas is the number one housing market in the U.S., the number one office market, and the number two warehouse market according to The Dallas Morning News.
“There is historic economic development taking place in Dallas, including more than 15 new hotels under construction,” said Cindy Morris. “Therefore, in order to continue to offer exhibitors and buyers an efficient market experience we are working with partner hotels and new hotels to provide advance dates and room blocks that are convenient and are competitively priced.”
