Scully, Ferrini, and Hooey to
Open New Showrooms at Dallas Market Center

—Leading western manufacturers embrace WESA move to Dallas—

DALLAS – November 7, 2018 – Dallas Market Center, the leading marketplace for retailers from around the world, has announced that three important western manufacturers will open new showrooms inside its growing western marketplace: Hooey, Ferrini, and Scully. Two of the companies will substantially expand their Dallas presence while one company is opening their first Dallas showroom.

“These three companies are each very special in their product design, their customer service, and their commitment to the industry,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “On behalf of our retail customers and WESA, we honor their shared vision for the strong future of the business.”

In order to reach thousands of loyal buyers, Scully, Ferrini, and Hooey join a growing number of leading companies investing in a Dallas marketplace featuring hundreds of western lifestyle companies. No other marketplace in the U.S. attracts more buyers seeking western and western-inspired products, including retailers broadening their merchandise mix and seeking the diversity of products found only in Dallas.

Scully has been a Dallas exhibitor for decades and will expand its showroom in order to showcase additional new products appealing to more buyers seeking legendary style and craftsmanship.

Said Dan Scully, Sr.: “A new and larger showroom on the atrium will allow Scully to better accommodate both its western and contemporary worldwide customer base. Scully has been a major fashion icon for well over a century... since 1906!”

Ferrini is almost tripling their Dallas space and will broaden their presentation to include new categories of product for a diverse set of loyal and new buyers.

“We are expanding for one important reason: we believe this investment will enable us to better serve loyal customers and give us a greater opportunity to present the uniqueness of the Ferrini brand to new customers,” said Mark Claver, national sales manager, Ferrini. “Also, the ability of the Dallas Market Center to attract such a diverse group of potential buyers serves Ferrini well as we continue to broaden our product mix into the fashionable casual footwear market. We look forward to using this expanded opportunity to build upon our success during the WESA shows and throughout the year.”

Hooey will be opening their first Dallas Market Center showroom as they deliver more new products for an expanding buyer base eager to discover a unique take on the status quo.

“As a Texas-born brand, we are thrilled to open our first major showroom at Dallas Market Center,” said Joey Austin, president, Hooey Brands. “The western lifestyle is our passion, and we’re confident this year-round marketplace will showcase our growing industry.”

Dallas Market Center is the largest marketplace in the world for western lifestyle products including apparel and accessories, gifts, and home décor. In addition to these core categories, new product resources including tack, farm and ranch products and equipment, workwear and safety wear, camping, and outdoor categories are being added to the marketplace and will create a comprehensive product destination.

The facility will undergo significant updates prior to the launch of WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets in 2021. The combined experience of Dallas Market Center and WESA is more than 160 years of bringing buyers and sellers together.

The bi-annual WESA shows will attract thousands of retail decision makers to Dallas including major stores, independent western retailers, apparel stores, gift shops, e-commerce, and other buyers seeking new products. A change of venue for the WESA shows will cause more buyers to explore new resources across the product spectrum and will create more opportunities for business growth. For exhibitors, the move creates better options for opening new accounts.

The addition of this trade event extends Dallas Market Center’s position as the most complete wholesale marketplace in North America for lifestyle products. Centrally located within a short travel time from any location in the U.S. and Latin America, the marketplace is also situated in the strongest economic zone in the U.S. and serves five of the 10 fastest growing U.S. cities in its immediate region.
