Position Summary:

The Copywriter is a key member of the Creative team helping translate our brand’s strategies into remarkable, head-turning copy that engages and inspires. Day-to-day tasks include creating engaging content, implementation of SEO, and copywriting for marketing materials, promotional materials, corporate communications and emails. As a member of a dynamic and growing Creative team, you must be ready and willing to take on a wide variety of projects across communications channels.

Deliverables for this position include the management of quick-turnaround tasks and longer-term projects that drive awareness, action, and affinity among customers. Examples include advertising, emails, video scripts, event descriptions, sales materials, press releases, and more. All writing must reflect the unique position of Dallas Market Center as a global hub for business-to-business commerce but also as an inspiring marketplace where trends begin.

This position is part of the Creative team and will report to the Creative Director.


  • Write compelling creative copy and content across all media that will provide customer engagement and growth for the company—from print to digital to social
  • Understand, embrace, and enhance the Dallas Market Center voice
  • Proactively hones concise storytelling skills with an ability to adapt to brand voices
  • Ensure copy serves a clear purpose according to strategic creative and marketing plans
  • Research brands and products to write copy that is accurate, on-target and "on brand”
  • Keep tabs and become fluent in the buzzwords and trending text in our industries
  • Self-edit and proofread copy to ensure that the message speaks to the target audience and is consistent, grammatically correct, and uses the appropriate brand voice
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are on your plate
  • Maintain productivity standards to drive time to execution
  • Work closely with the Creative Team, Marketing Team, and other stakeholders to produce great content
  • Be comfortable with all levels and types of copy—from a simple sign to a comprehensive sales kit
  • Apply feedback to make revisions in a timely manner, with attention to detail
  • Participate in creative team meetings and work check-ins

Required Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in related field

Required Experience:

  • 5-7 years of marketing/writing experience
  • B2B and/or lifestyle writing experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Office Environment- Ability to sit for vast majority of work shift
