We are looking for a creative thinker, personable, and exceptional Lighting Concierge/Consultant to assist our Trade customer channel. As a Concierge, you will play a very critical role in helping our Interior Designers, Architects, Home Stagers, Hospitality/Contract and Commercial clients with their projects. You also will be responsible for helping the Trade Mart Lighting tenants achieve growth goals. You must have impeccable communication skills, strong time management capabilities, and a collaborative attitude.  The expectation is to work closely in an environment that fosters innovation, continuous growth, and cooperation.

Position Description:

  • Serve as the first point of contact and on-call resource for all Trade Customers looking for assistance with Lighting.  This will occur via in-person visits, emails and phone.  Provide follow-up and problem solve as needed.  Resolve inquires in a timely manner.
  • Vets and recommends sources.
  • Establishes appointments during non-market with showrooms.
  • Secure commitments among applicable lighting brands that sell to the design community to participate in Lighting Concierge program.
  • An eye for design, guiding designers and their clients on how the DMC lighting exhibitors will fit their requirements for their projects.
  • Offer a welcoming and positive environment for all clients by responding with enthusiasm, warmth, professionalism, and a relentless pursuit of problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage projects and close sales in a timely manner required.
  • Connect and engage with customers and tenants throughout the sales cycle, from prospect, closing sales, and re-prospecting.
  • Be available for appointments driven by Concierge Service on behalf of designers.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the lighting manufacturers policies on cancellations, damage, refunds, escalation processes.
  • Proactively and confidently take on challenges, research information, troubleshoot issues, and creatively deliver results. Support order processing when needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement that contributes to elevated customer experience.
  • Skillfully enforce policies and serve as the standard of consistency and accuracy for all DMC processes.
  • Provide data in Unity and Microsoft SharePoint sites for other teams to utilize information.
  • Promote Lighting Close Out Center.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and performs special projects as required or request.
  • Deliver analytics and insights that are meaningful, simple, easy to understand, and action focused.

Qualifications:

  • You truly enjoy helping people therefore, you genuinely care about customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in lighting design with trade clients.
  • Technology Savvy.
  • Passionate about Design.
  • Work confidently with Excel and reporting.
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service and experiences.
  • You’re articulate and enthusiastic, excellent written, and verbal communication.
  • A quick learner with attention to detail.
  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment.
  •  Team player with an ability and desire to work collaboratively.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Lighting industry and/or design background

Physical Requirements:

  • Office Environment- Ability to sit for vast majority of work shift
  • Market Environment – Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during markets
