Event Hall Engineer

Position Summary: Provides maintenance for facility, HVAC systems, and related equipment at Market Hall to ensure maximum performance during events.

Position Description:

  • Provide engineering assistance during setup, during main event and teardown of events at Market Hall
  • Perform all necessary preventative maintenance and/or trouble shooting to pumps, boilers, cooling towers, chillers and air handlers
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance to the remainder of the facility
  • Ability to work weekends with varied hours and days
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Education:

  •  2 year degree from mechanical trade school, or 4 years minimum hands on mechanical experience

Required Experience:

  • 4 years Electrical, HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pneumatics and Pumps
  • Experience working at varying levels of height using lifts, ladders, scaffolds, etc.
  • General patch & painting, plumbing and carpentry
  • Valid Texas driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a scissor lift or boom lift at heights of 6ft or greater
  • Ability to climb stairs, climb and work on A-frame ladders, extension ladders or scaffolds at heights of 6ft or greater
  • Ability to push, pull and lift at least 75lbs
  • Ability to stand, squat and sit for extended periods of time in all types of weather and climate conditions
  • Ability to wear and work in various types of Personal Protection Devices and Equipment
