Calling all organizers, handy helpers, and detail-oriented doers! The Portico Collection is looking for extra hands to help get our wholesale showroom ready for market. From unpacking products and updating price tags to painting walls and building displays, we have projects for a variety of skills and experience levels. We’re a woman-owned, family-run company with more than 30 years in the gift and home industry and a team that works hard and has fun along the way. It’s always a party at Portico, and we need your help getting ready! We’re looking for temporary help through January 5, 2027. Scheduling is flexible, based on your availability and showroom needs. Hours, assignments, and the anticipated work period are subject to change.
Work alongside our showroom team to transform our space for market.
We’re looking for several types of helpers, not one person who can do everything!
Assignments will be based on your skills, experience, and our current needs.
Cleaning & organizing: Clean shelves and display areas, organize supplies, clear packaging, and keep work areas tidy.
Patching, painting & construction: Assist with wall repairs, painting, fixture assembly, display construction, and other hands-on showroom projects.
Unpacking freight & handling samples: Open shipments, carefully unpack products, sort samples, and move merchandise to the appropriate areas.
Pricing & detail work: Update prices, prepare and replace product tickets, label samples, and check information for accuracy.
Display & general setup support: Help with product placement, arrange merchandise under the showroom team’s direction, and assist with other market preparation tasks.
We’re looking for dependable, punctual helpers who can follow directions, work carefully, and bring a positive attitude. You should be comfortable adapting as projects and priorities change and able to work on-site at Dallas Market Center.
Experience in organizing, painting, repairs, construction, merchandising, or detail-oriented work is welcome. Tell us where you shine!
Physical demands vary by assignment. Some tasks involve standing, bending, lifting, or moving boxes and fixtures; others focus on pricing, labeling, and detail work.
