Position Overview
This is an opportunity for an experienced, self-driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships and growing a territory. As an Independent Territory Sales Representative, you will manage existing accounts while developing new business opportunities within your assigned region.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with unlimited earning potential through a competitive commission program.
Successful candidates are motivated by sales, enjoy meeting customers face-to-face, and are comfortable managing their own schedule and travel.
Sales Responsibilities
• Develop and grow sales within an assigned geographic territory.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
• Prospect and open new accounts.
• Schedule and conduct in-person customer visits throughout your territory.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity.
• Represent Winward with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
Trade Show Responsibilities
Winward introduces new collections twice a year at our major trade shows. Sales representatives are expected to attend all trade shows where customers from their territories attend.
Our showrooms are located in:
• Atlanta, GA
• Dallas, TX
• Fremont, CA
Responsibilities during trade shows include:
• Schedule appointments with customers prior to market.
• Write orders during the show.
• Develop relationships with prospective customers.
Compensation
This position offers:
• 100% commission compensation
• Competitive commission rates
We're looking for professionals who already understand the wholesale sales environment. Preferred qualifications include:
• Previous experience as an Independent Territory Sales Representative.
• Proven track record of developing and growing a sales territory.
• Existing relationships within the floral, garden center, home décor, furniture, gift, or seasonal décor industries are highly desirable.
• Strong prospecting and business development skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
