The TM-30 design intents of Preference, Vividness, and Fidelity are key components to integrate into the design process, helping to assess and improve lighting quality. By understanding the TM-30 information gathered at each stage of design, designers can create lighting solutions that meet specific requirements and enhance the overall environment. Integrating TM-30 into design processes and specification documents ensures that the desired lighting characteristics are achieved and maintained throughout the project. This session will give attendees insight into the advancements of ANSI/IES TM-30-25 and what to look forward to with the release of BSR/IES LP-30-2x, a new color Lighting Practice document from IES.

Visit DMC Events Page

Join Crystorama, Sherwin-Williams, Nikki Watson—Staging Expert and Co-Founder of The Design Besties—and Fine Artist Lori Johnson for an immersive art and design experience that welcomes the new year with creativity, reflection, and inspiration. This event explores light and color as guiding forces—both illuminating our spaces and shaping our intentions.

Inspired by Sherwin-Williams’ 2026 Color of the Year, Universal Khaki, guests will write their personal intentions for the year onto mini canvases. Throughout the event, Lori Johnson will transform each canvas into a small custom artwork—layering color, movement, and emotion to create a meaningful keepsake to take home.

As attendees discover how color and light influence both mood and environment, Ashlyn Bourque, Designer Marketing Manager at Sherwin-Williams, will offer insight into the Color of the Year. Meanwhile, Nikki Watson will stage a showroom vignette centered on Universal Khaki—highlighting Crystorama’s newest introductions through layered light and design.

Together, this experience celebrates the connection between color, design, art, and intention—inviting guests to begin the new year with creativity, clarity, and beauty in every layer.
