Business of Home and Dallas Market Center are joining forces to bring you the Business Accelerator Series, a new designer experience focused on developing the tools, strategies and confidence essential to building stronger, more intentional businesses. The first session in this four-part series starts where every successful project begins: winning the job. Through a combination of designer panels moderated by BOH Editor in Chief, Kaitlin Petersen, and workshops from top business coaches, this half-day program unpacks what it really means to land the right clients, not just more of them. From optimizing digital tools and polishing your online presence to mastering the initial consultation (and deciding whether you should charge for it), the sessions explore the systems and strategies that draw aligned clients to your doorstep. Bring your notebook—or your laptop—and come ready to learn: You’ll leave with a sharper understanding of how to position your firm, convey your value and set the stage for successful client relationships.

The Great Market Experience is an interactive, point-based challenge designed for interior design professionals to explore the Dallas Market Center in a strategic and engaging way. Teams will visit showrooms, complete curated challenges, and earn points for creativity, knowledge, and engagement, encouraging purposeful exploration, networking, and lasting industry connections.

Go behind the scenes with Dallas-based set decorator Karen Higgins, whose work on Yellowstone, 1883, Landman, and the upcoming Taylor Sheridan drama The Madison has shaped some of television’s most visually compelling worlds. Karen leads a team known for creating authentic, story-driven environments with a sharp creative eye and deep sourcing expertise. In this session, she shares her unique “character first” approach - revealing how understanding who inhabits a space guides every design decision, from texture to object to atmosphere. A fascinating perspective on design for anyone passionate about storytelling through space.
