Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Key Account Manager to join our growing company. As our Key Account Manager (also known as a National Account Manager), you will be responsible for overseeing our most important wholesale accounts and developing new key account opportunities. Examples of our key accounts include large department stores and other large chain stores. This position requires having extensive personal contacts in the industry, deep experience in accounts management, vendor relationship management, and a demonstrable history of successful leadership in a senior role.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement all phases of sales plan with key accounts; negotiate, review and maintain vendor agreements; proactively market new products and pursue reorder opportunities
- Build positive relationships with buyers at key accounts and nurture long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships; maintain integrity and quality in all communication and activities
- Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing teams to identify and grow new business opportunities with key accounts, such as private label, licensing and hospitality
- Provide customer feedback to internal stakeholders (e.g., Product Development, Operations)
- Plan, present and execute upon sales plan for key accounts; forecast, track and analyze key account performance (e.g., best sellers, quarterly sales results)
- Travel to trade shows and on-site visits for customer opportunities

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years key account management experience with proven field sales experience and results
- 2+ years of home, gift and furniture industry sales experience
- Experience with trend forecasting and analysis, product development and design, merchandising, buying, planning
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Independent self-starter who takes initiative and finds creative solutions to problems
- Superior organizational skills, with ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Moderate computer skills - experience with CRM software and ERP systems. Ability and enthusiasm to learn new software to enhance efficiency
- A high standard for excellence
