| TECHNICAL DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our growing team. As our Technical Designer, you will help transform our bedding and home goods from concept to completion. Your primary duties will include reviewing design work, developing plans with our factory partners, and ensuring that finished products meet our quality standards. You will develop products for our family of brands, including HiEnd Accents, Paseo Road, Indigo Hill, and Saturday Linens. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with our Creative Team, Sales Team, Sourcing Team, manufacturers, vendors, and clients to ensure product specifications are viable
- Analyze designs, determining resources needed and project deadlines
- Manage product development timelines, create PD calendars, and ensure team adherence
- Implement design changes and create contingency plans
- Establish and enforce quality control standards throughout product development
- Track and review new samples, updating product development sheets regularly
- Create and manage spec sheets, tech packs, and detailed construction sheets for suppliers
- Review and approve samples and production
- Perform quality control checks
- Meticulously manage and organize samples, maintaining an orderly workspace
- Ensure clear, consistent communication among all stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of textiles, fabrications, weaves, printing techniques, and manufacturing processes
- Thorough understanding of product development stages and lifecycle
- Familiarity with current trends, color, and design; demonstrated sense of style, creativity, and color awareness
- Exceptional communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; deadline-driven
- Experience developing products directly with overseas factories
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to change
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive approach
- Self-motivated and proactive
