Largest U.S. Equestrian Trade Show

AETA International Trade Show doubled its exhibitors; expands buyer attendance

DALLAS – September 22, 2022 – The American Equestrian Trade Association (AETA) International Trade Show, held August 25-28 at Dallas Market Center, welcomed a record number of exhibitors and buyers from around the world. More than 75 global manufacturers participated in the summer edition of the show including notable new and expanding exhibitors.

The event is the largest U.S. show for the equestrian business and ran concurrent with WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Market. Together, the two shows presented more than 1,000 equestrian, tack, western apparel and accessories, and footwear brands and collections under one roof.

“We are thrilled with the participation and the momentum we are building,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We are appreciative of all the companies who participated and the buyers who made the trip to Dallas. We are looking forward to sustained growth in January 2023 and delivering top products for retailers.”

Buyers commented about the show experience.

Ernest Dunning, a buyer for AD Tack out of Scottsdale, Arizona shared: “If you’re going to find any new products for your business, this is the place to come.”

“We can see all of the products,” said Michele Karwoski of M&M Tack Shop in Raleigh, North Carolina. “We can also compare from one vendor to another and see new vendors.”

Exhibitors noted the show attendance and order writing.

Bill Garne, a representative from LILO Collections said, “The traffic is up, the people are back, and they’re excited to be here!”

A representative from Next One Equestrian said, “We are seeing a lot of people from Texas, which is great for us, plus Canada, California, and Maine. So really pulling from all avenues of the market and from all over the U.S.”

Exhibitor Jill Tweedy of Tucker Tweed Equestrian commented: “Dallas Market Center does it better than anyone.”

Exhibitors participating for the first time included Hannah Childs Lifestyle, SSG Gloves, Waldhausen USA, and Butet Saumur. Returning exhibitors included Charles Owen, Chestnut Bay Apparel, Schockomoehle Sports, and many others.

Special events included a Thursday evening runway fashion show spotlighting Equestrian and Western trends on the runway, sourced straight from exhibitors at the show. On the show floor, hospitality included both daily events and a special reception with live music, hors d’oeuvres and wine service. Also inside the show, a special display of equestrian themed gift and home décor items was curated to include top resources from across the marketplace including tabletop, home fragrance, paper products, candles, and more. Dallas Market Center has hundreds of gift and home décor showrooms available to equestrian buyers.

The next AETA International Trade Show takes place January 12-15, 2023.
