New buyer applications are up by 50% in anticipation of first market of the summer. Across the marketplace, new destinations for discovery include dozens of new showrooms, expanded Temps, new pop-up exhibitions, online platform options, a limited number of special events, and inspiring displays all supporting retail decision makers.

Record Number of New Buyer Applications and Registration
New buyer applications and registration is up more than 50% over previous years, with the strongest gains coming from businesses located outside of the market center’s immediate geographic region. To support new buyers arriving for the summer shows, the market center is enhancing its pre-market communication and education for new buyers via digital tools and a dedicated team of retail ambassadors. During the show, new buyers will be welcomed to market with special tours, a welcome desk, and a buyers’ lounge. Returning for June is the Gourmet Gold Specialty Food Awards, the program recognizing exceptional makers in the gourmet products industry who exhibit in Dallas. Ten categories of products will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges. The Awards will take place on Saturday, June 26 at 4 p.m. in the World Trade Center Atrium. Also during the June show, GC Buying Group will hold its Member Conference at Dallas Market Center. The annual event draws retailers from across the country to review new products from leading vendors with the company principals, network among peers, and experience presentations from business and industry experts. The Vendor Showcase will return with a broad range of products for the home—from gadgets to fine cookware to the latest in kitchen electrics.
Gourmet Housewares Pop-Up and Showroom News
The marketplace now offers more than 300 housewares lines. The new design of the neighborhood features a bright orange colorway and a modern, open space for a pop-up exhibition of participating companies that now includes the following: Bindle Bottle, C&F Enterprises, Beatriz Ball, Cookcraft, Cutlery Couture, albert L. The HEARTS Awards
On Friday evening, June 25, Dallas Market Center and ART will present The HEARTS Awards, an event celebrating and honoring those who showed outstanding leadership during the pandemic. Uniting multiple industries for the first time, the invitation-only event in the World Trade Center will be hosted by Carson Kressley and Thom Filicia and will pay homage to 12 “hearts and heroes” of 2020-2021.
Thom Filicia: Design Discussion
The powerhouse interior and product designer, tastemaker and television personality will participate in a Q&A moderated session on Thursday, June 24, from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. on the World Trade Center atrium stage. Filicia is appearing in collaboration with Feizy and celebrating his new collection. The initial Thom Filicia Home Collection for Feizy will represent a variety of constructions at an accessible price point, and planning is already underway to expand the Thom Filicia product offering to Feizy’s Fine Collection as well.
