DALLAS – February 13, 2023 – The American Equestrian Trade Association (AETA) International Trade Show returned to Dallas Market Center January 12-15 and welcomed a record number of retailers as well as an expanded assortment of exhibitors, according to show management.
“This was the largest edition of the show to date,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Not only was attendance up but we also welcomed many new buyers from across the country and internationally. These buyers experienced a complete lifestyle marketplace that begins with top equestrian top brands but also includes western apparel, accessories, and footwear as well as gifts, home décor, and women’s apparel and accessories.”
AETA is the largest show in the U.S. for the business of equestrian, and the January edition of the show featured more than 100 manufacturers from around the world including notable new and expanding exhibitors. Added Susan Krueger, founder and president of Chestnut Bay Apparel: “Now that the AETA market has permanently relocated to the Dallas Mart, you feel that there is tangible energy, with terrific lighting, wonderful accommodations, accessibility from anywhere in the world, and a really wonderful and helpful staff that sets this show apart from the shows of the past.”
New exhibitor Franz Schockemohle commented: “I’m surprised how big [the show] has grown…that attracts more buyers. So I’m quite happy how it’s running, and we are fully booked.” Added Charlotte De Cugnac with French EQ: “I can come to Dallas and save a month of traveling to my customers and that’s worth a lot, too.”
Total buyer attendance was more than 100% ahead of the January 2022 show, but perhaps more importantly the number of new buyers was up 56%. The show attracted top equestrian buyers from across the country as well as key retailers from Canada and other countries.
Influencer Bethany Lee (@myequestrianstyle) observed: “I can’t think of anywhere else that has this many equestrian brands all in one place. That’s a huge pull to come to the Dallas Market.” Added influencer Alle Justyn (AlleEquestrian):
