We have been making high-quality leather and lambskin products for over 50 years now and since the beginning of the 90s we have also been putting our many years of expertise to use in the medical lambskins product range. Our own tannery is one of the most modern in the world and provides us with ideal conditions for treating lambskin raw material using a special process. We source only the very best raw materials for our range of products – all of which we manufacture on our own premises – and we guarantee a consistently high level of quality. The production processes in our tannery have been fully CO2 neutral since as long ago as 2007 – yet another important contribution to protecting the environment. All WERNER CHRIST HORSE products are made using genuine lambskin from southern Chile and Australia. Since the sheep are kept only outdoors, they develop a particularly thick, long-haired and beautifully soft fleece after a while. Our specialists carefully select the pelts from such animals and they also guarantee adherence to the highest standards at all stages of production. We can then apply our craftsmanship and finishing techniques to odourless and top-quality pelts, which are usually shorn to achieve the perfect cushioning and softness for the comfort of the horses. The yellowish hue of the WERNER CHRIST lambskins is produced by the medical tanning process. The lambskins are gently tanned using only REACH-compliant German products in our very own tannery. Our lambskins are by-products of the food industry and are processed by us under sustainable and ecological conditions. Our unique tanning methods ensure that our lambskins are kind to the skin, can be easily washed and are thus ideal for both humans and animals.
