Dallas Market Center is seeking a Manager Facility Sales And Operations to become a part of our team! You will act as a partner in the execution of departmental goals and objectives as outlined by the company and Director of Facility Sales and Operations, Market Hall.  This includes overseeing and maintaining all Market Hall contracts, work orders, and calendars, as well as overseeing the housekeeping staff to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building. 

Position Description:

  • Clerical and phone support for the Director of Facility Sales and Operations 
  • Process, distribute and follow-up on all Market Hall contracts 
  • Initiate billing for Market Hall contracts, as well as assist in light collection activity 
  • Process and distribute Market Hall work orders
  • Maintain and distribute Market Hall calendars – Campus Calendar
  • Handle incoming inquiries regarding upcoming events 
  • Work with customers to make sure they meet paperwork requirements prior to events
  • Administrative support
  • Set up various logbooks and files containing all event and customer information 
  • Be able to handle unexpected challenges with a proactive attitude for solving 
  • Act as a building assistant to the Director of Sales and Operations Market Hall during events including overseeing decorator move in and move out as well as ensuring building assignments are completed in a timely manner
  • Oversees scheduling of Housekeeping
  • Checks Housekeeping time and attendance in Dayforce weekly
  • Ensures that all safety policies and guidelines are followed; completes daily walkthroughs and troubleshoots problem areas as needed
  • Assists with annual budget preparation; works effectively within budget constraints
  • When necessary, schedules pick-ups for waste containers
  • Sets up and takes down temporary walks between Main and Freeway halls
  • Other duties as assigned

Positions Supervised:

  • Facility Services Technician I

Required Education: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years of custodial management experience
  • 3-5 years of convention center management

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk and stand for vast majority of shift
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
