Dallas Market Center is seeking a Director, Interior Design Ambassador to join our team!
Position Description:
- Deliver high-quality interior designers to the Dallas Market Center, both during markets and every day
- Strategize, develop, and execute programs to grow our designer relationships by driving more designers to utilize the Dallas Market Center on a regular basis, including generation of prospect leads, relationship-building, and coordination of special buyer incentives
- Serve as an ambassador of the Dallas Market Center to the Design community in Dallas and beyond
- Develop relationships with Interior Designers (residential, commercial/contract, hospitality) to build awareness and loyalty to Dallas Market Center
- Manage the budget to achieve goals
- Work closely with Design Industry stakeholders to support programming for markets and Design Weeks
- Represent the Dallas Market Center to related associations and groups across the home and design industry, act as the DMC design ambassador to relevant conferences, meetings, etc.
- Keep track of association membership including dues, sponsorships etc. Leverage membership to the benefit of the overall business
- Work closely with lighting industry stakeholders to help accelerate designers’ access to our lighting showrooms
- Conceptualize and ideate home and design events and programming outside of our major markets, working cross-functionally with the Events team to execute within budget
- Work closely with the Home & Design leasing teams to support leasing growth
- Responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and management of the VIP designer program
- Promote and advocate for open everyday programs, activity, and participation
- Conduct training & tours as market needs demand
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive customer database of Designer relationships
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent industry experience
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Business Development/Sales/Marketing experience, and/or Home/Design experience Design
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, verbal and written skills
Physical Requirements:
- Office Environment – Ability to sit for vast majority of work shift
- Market Environment – Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
