To Break Records in January

DALLAS – December 8, 2022 – Dallas Market Center has announced that its January Apparel & Accessories Market will break records for the number of exhibiting companies including new exhibitors across the marketplace and the debut of THE GOODS by Brand Assembly.
The next Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market takes place January 10-13, 2023 with an expanded marketplace featuring additional brands and trending new collections on multiple floors. The show grew by 20% in 2022 and continues to be the largest marketplace in the country for women’s apparel, accessories, and footwear.
The number of buyers attending trade events in Dallas has also grown. The total attendance by retailers at all five apparel, accessories and footwear trade events in 2022 was up almost 20% and the number of buyers attending for the first time was up more than 40% compared to 2019, pre-pandemic numbers. Attendance from key territories was also up for the year: the southeast increased 86%, the upper midwest increased 91%, and the west increased 104% compared to 2019.

Note that taking place at the same time as the Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market is the WESA International Western and Equipment Market (January 12-15) and the AETA Equestrian Show (January 12-15). Marketplace Expansion + Noteworthy New & Returning Collections
Footwear is a category enjoying tremendous growth in Dallas—with the number of exhibitors up 45% compared with 2021. Its new location on the 10th floor allows for a greater number of brands. New and Noteworthy brands for January include Frye Boots, Phillipe Model Paris, Marc Fisher, ASH, Schutz, Birkenstock, and K Swiss.
Apparel and accessories options also continue to grow. On the 10th floor is a 25% expansion of Young Contemporary that includes Endless Blu, Fun 2 Fun, Day + Moon, and Sky to Moon. . The 12th floor Young Contemporary is sold out. On the 13th floor, permanent showrooms have grown substantially in the last 6 months including PJ Harlow, Duo Threads, My Saint My Hero, Agency Showroom to name a few. And on the 15th floor January will see more expansions of current exhibitors with just a handful of showrooms left to lease. January Market will be a launch market for the lines Love The Label, Felicite, and DL 1961.
Launching in January is the showroom and trade experience THE GOODS by Brand Assembly. The 17,000 square foot space located on the 10th floor showcases more than 40 exceptional and elevated brands presenting their collections across all product categories including apparel, accessories, footwear, gift, home décor, and western. Ready to wear from Aqua Bendita, Alyson Eastman, Place Nationale, Marine Layer, It is Well and dozens of others are complemented by accessories from KUU, Sierra Winter, Nash & Ivy, Wanderlust & Co, and others as well as select footwear lines and western collections from Daniel X Diamond, Kit Santa Fe, Dixon Rand, and others. An open house will be held January 10-12, with an opening party taking place January 11th from 4-6 p.m. Special guest is Daniel X Diamond, featuring pieces from the iconic collection and a display of looks worn by Carrie Underwood, Gwen Stefani, and Miranda Lambert.
Market Events
All buyers are invited to a variety of industry, social, and hospitality events from complimentary Cosmopolitan cocktails for an afternoon boost to Market Moment Photo Opportunities, a Buyer’s Lounge, S’mores Martini Bar, Cosmos on 12, Vino with a View overlooking downtown, and more.
Event highlights include a contemporary fashion show on Tuesday evening, January 10 with the theme of Enter The Multiverse. Join us in the World Trade Center atrium an hour before the show for a complimentary cocktail.
On Thursday, January 12 the Western and English Fashion show takes place at 6 p.m. with live music and cocktails beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing after the show.
